{"product_id":"vintage-franklin-mint-ch-ing-dynasty-cat-curio-cabinet-cats-green-glass","title":"Vintage Franklin Mint Ch’ing Dynasty Cat | Curio Cabinet Cats Green Glass","description":"A beautiful vintage Franklin Mint “Ch’ing Dynasty” Cat, from the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection.\n\nThis charming miniature cat has been created in translucent jade-green glass, designed to evoke the appearance of traditional Chinese carved jade.\n\nThe wonderfully characterful seated cat has a rounded sculptural form, with its head turned gently to one side and its tail and body decorated with flowing raised scroll motifs.\n\nThe glass ranges beautifully in colour according to the light, appearing a rich leafy green in shadow before becoming considerably lighter and more translucent where the light passes through it.\n\nThe underside retains its original Made in China paper label.\n\nThe Ch’ing Dynasty design formed part of the earlier Franklin Mint Curio Cabinet Cats collection and is commonly catalogued to the mid-1980s.\n\nMaker: The Franklin Mint\nCollection: Curio Cabinet Cats\nDesign: Ch’ing Dynasty\nDate: circa 1986\nMaterial: Jade-green glass\nHeight: approximately 7.5 cm \/ 3 inches\nOrigin: China\nLabel: Original Made in China label present\n\nPlease note that “Ch’ing Dynasty” is the Franklin Mint design name. This is a later decorative interpretation inspired by historic Chinese jade carving and is not an antique Chinese object or a piece of natural jade.\n\n*Condition*\nIn good vintage condition overall.\nThe figurine presents beautifully, with the ears, facial features, legs and decorative moulding all appearing intact.\n\nThere are several very tiny flea bites\/nibbles to the lower edge of the base, visible on close inspection and shown clearly in the close-up photograph. These are confined to the base edge and are not particularly noticeable when the cat is displayed.\n\nThere are also minor signs of age and previous handling\/display commensurate with a vintage glass piece.\n\nThe original Made in China paper label remains attached to the underside.\n\nNo cracks or repairs have been identified.\n\nPlease study all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up of the base edge, as they form an important part of the condition report.\n\n*A Note from FS Vintage Co.*\n\nAll of our items are genuine vintage or antique pieces and have been loved throughout their lifetime. As such, signs of age and gentle wear should be expected and are considered part of their unique character and charm.\n\nWe do our very best to photograph and describe each item accurately, so please take a moment to look carefully at all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and condition report.\n\nIf you have any questions or would like any additional photographs before purchasing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re always happy to help.\n\nWe also believe in giving packaging a second life wherever possible, so your order may arrive using clean, recycled packaging materials to help reduce waste.\n\nYour order will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, providing tracking from dispatch through to delivery.\n\nThank you so much for visiting FS Vintage Co. and supporting our small business—it truly means the world to us.
