{"product_id":"vintage-franklin-mint-faience-cat-1988-curio-cabinet-cats-floral-figurine","title":"Vintage Franklin Mint Faience Cat 1988 | Curio Cabinet Cats Floral Figurine","description":"A wonderfully pretty vintage Franklin Mint “Faience” Cat, from the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to 1988.\n\nThis charming little cat has a glossy white body decorated with delicate sprays of colourful flowers in vivid pink, blue, orange and green. Its beautifully painted green eyes, tiny brown nose and finely outlined features give it a particularly sweet expression.\n\nThe crouching pose is lovely too — slightly low to the ground with one front paw reaching forwards — and the floral decoration continues across the shoulders, body and even onto the top of the head.\n\nCreated as part of Franklin Mint's wonderfully varied Curio Cabinet Cats series, the Faience design takes its inspiration from traditional decorative faience ceramics.\n\nThe underside is clearly marked:\n© 1988 FM\nmaking this a securely dated example from the collection.\nMaker: The Franklin Mint\nCollection: Curio Cabinet Cats\nDesign: Faience\nDate: 1988\nMaterial: Glazed ceramic\/porcelain\nColour: White with multicoloured floral decoration\nLength: approximately 9 cm \/ 3½ inches\nMark: © 1988 FM\n\nPlease note that “Faience” is the Franklin Mint design name\/style represented by this figurine; it should not be interpreted as an attribution to a particular historic faience factory.\n\n*Condition*\nIn very good vintage condition overall.\nThe glossy body and colourful floral decoration present beautifully, and I have not identified any obvious chips, cracks or repairs from careful inspection.\n\nThere may be very minor signs of age or handling consistent with a vintage collectible. The small brown details visible around the tips of the paws are part of the painted decoration rather than damage.\n\nPlease examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition report.\n\nPlease note-\nThis listing is for the Franklin Mint cat figurine only. The original presentation box, collector's leaflet\/card, display cabinet and any other original packaging or paperwork are not included.\n\n*A Note from FS Vintage Co.*\n\nAll of our items are genuine vintage or antique pieces and have been loved throughout their lifetime. As such, signs of age and gentle wear should be expected and are considered part of their unique character and charm.\n\nWe do our very best to photograph and describe each item accurately, so please take a moment to look carefully at all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and condition report.\n\nIf you have any questions or would like any additional photographs before purchasing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re always happy to help.\n\nWe also believe in giving packaging a second life wherever possible, so your order may arrive using clean, recycled packaging materials to help reduce waste.\n\nYour order will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, providing tracking from dispatch through to delivery.\n\nThank you so much for visiting FS Vintage Co. and supporting our small business—it truly means the world to us.
