{"product_id":"vintage-franklin-mint-imari-cat-1988-curio-cabinet-cats-porcelain-figurine","title":"Vintage Franklin Mint Imari Cat 1988 | Curio Cabinet Cats Porcelain Figurine","description":"A beautiful vintage Franklin Mint “Imari” Cat, from the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to 1988.\n\nThis wonderfully decorative little porcelain cat is modelled in a relaxed reclining pose, its body covered with an elaborate design inspired by traditional Japanese Imari porcelain.\n\nAgainst the crisp white porcelain are striking areas of deep cobalt blue and iron red, lavishly accented with gold-coloured detailing. Even the cat's face, ears, paws and sweeping tail have been incorporated into the intricate pattern, making this one of the most eye-catching designs in the Curio Cabinet Cats collection.\n\nThe underside is clearly marked:\n©1988 THE FRANKLIN MINT\n\nThe design is documented as “Imari” within the Franklin Mint Curio Cabinet Cats collection.\n\nThe name refers to the historic Imari style of Japanese porcelain decoration which inspired the design; this is a vintage Franklin Mint interpretation rather than antique Japanese Imari porcelain.\n\nMaker: The Franklin Mint\nCollection: Curio Cabinet Cats\nDesign: Imari\nDate: 1988\nMaterial: Porcelain\/ceramic\nColours: White, cobalt blue, iron red and gold\nLength: approximately 9 cm \/ 3½ inches\nPlease see the measurement photograph for scale.\n\n*Condition*\n\nIn very good vintage condition overall.\nThe porcelain appears sound, with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs identified. The colourful Imari-inspired decoration remains wonderfully bright and attractive.\n\nThere is some minor age-related wear\/rubbing to areas of the gold-coloured decoration, particularly around exposed edges, consistent with age and previous display. This can be seen in the photographs and does not detract significantly from the overall appearance.\n\nPlease study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description and condition report and show the exact figurine you will receive.\n\n*A Note from FS Vintage Co.*\n\nAll of our items are genuine vintage or antique pieces and have been loved throughout their lifetime. As such, signs of age and gentle wear should be expected and are considered part of their unique character and charm.\n\nWe do our very best to photograph and describe each item accurately, so please take a moment to look carefully at all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and condition report.\n\nIf you have any questions or would like any additional photographs before purchasing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we’re always happy to help.\n\nWe also believe in giving packaging a second life wherever possible, so your order may arrive using clean, recycled packaging materials to help reduce waste.\n\nYour order will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, providing tracking from dispatch through to delivery.\n\nThank you so much for visiting FS Vintage Co. and supporting our small business—it truly means the world to us.
