Welcome to FS Vintage Co.

These Terms of Service set out the terms that apply when you visit our website or purchase goods from us. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to FS Vintage Co.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service together with any other policies that apply to your purchase, including our Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

Please read these terms before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory consumer rights.

About Our Products

FS Vintage Co. specialises in vintage, antique and pre-loved pieces.

Because of their age and history, our items will often show signs of previous use. These may include age-related wear, surface marks, scratches, crazing, patination, manufacturing irregularities or other characteristics associated with older and previously owned items.

We take care to research, photograph and describe our pieces as accurately as reasonably possible and aim to disclose notable damage, faults, restoration or significant condition issues that we identify.

Photographs form an important part of each product's description and condition report. Please examine the photographs and read the full description carefully before purchasing.

If you would like further information, measurements or additional photographs of an item before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Product Information & Attribution

We enjoy researching the history and origins of the pieces we sell and aim to provide accurate information wherever possible.

With vintage and antique objects, however, definitive information about a maker, date, material, origin, pattern or attribution is not always available.

Where an attribution or identification is uncertain, we aim to make this clear in the product description and may use terms such as “believed to be”, “attributed to”, “likely”, “possibly”, “in the style of” or similar wording.

Any such qualified attribution represents our assessment based on the information reasonably available to us at the time of listing and should be understood in that context.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to goods that are materially not as described.

Prices

All prices are displayed in the currency shown on our website.

The price payable for an item is the price displayed when you place your order, together with any applicable delivery charges and other charges clearly shown before checkout is completed.

FS Vintage Co. is not currently VAT registered, and VAT is therefore not separately charged by us.

For international orders, customs duties, import VAT, taxes, handling fees or other charges may be imposed by the destination country. Where these are not collected at checkout, they are normally the responsibility of the recipient. Please see our Shipping Policy for further information.

Placing an Order

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected goods.

You are responsible for checking that the information supplied with your order, including your delivery address and contact details, is accurate.

You will receive an electronic confirmation after placing your order. Acceptance of an order is subject to payment being successfully processed and the item being available.

As most of our stock consists of individual vintage and antique pieces, quantities are often limited to one.

In the unusual event that an item has already been sold, is unavailable, has been listed in error, or we discover a significant issue with the item before dispatch that was not disclosed in the listing, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. Where we are unable to fulfil the order, any amount paid for the affected item will be refunded.

Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

Payments are processed through the payment providers available through our website. We do not directly receive or store your complete payment card details.

Your order will not normally be dispatched until the required payment has been successfully processed.

Delivery

Available delivery methods, charges and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout where applicable.

We aim to package every order carefully and dispatch it within the timeframe stated on our website.

Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly state otherwise.

Occasionally, delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, severe weather, customs procedures or other unforeseen events.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law concerning delivery.

International Orders

We may offer delivery to selected international destinations.

International availability and delivery charges depend on the destination, size, weight and nature of the item.

Some destinations or heavier, unusually sized, fragile or higher-value items may require an individual shipping quotation rather than being available for automatic checkout.

International customers are responsible for ensuring that an item can lawfully be imported into their destination country.

Customs duties, import taxes, import VAT, clearance charges or other fees may be payable when an order enters the destination country. Unless expressly stated as being collected at checkout, these charges are not included in our product or delivery price and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Your rights and our procedures for cancellations, returns, damaged items and refunds are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Where applicable, consumers purchasing online have statutory cancellation rights. The availability or expiry of any Shopify self-service cancellation feature does not restrict any cancellation rights provided by law.

Nothing in these Terms of Service or our Returns & Refunds Policy excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

Damaged, Faulty or Misdescribed Goods

If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, is materially not as described or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, we ask that you retain the item and all packaging and provide photographs of the item, the issue and the packaging. This helps us investigate what happened and may provide evidence required for a delivery claim.

Requesting photographs does not remove or restrict your statutory consumer rights.

Website Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date.

Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on lighting, photography and the screen or device used to view the website. We therefore encourage customers to read descriptions and examine all available photographs.

We may correct genuine typographical, technical or administrative errors that we identify.

Nothing in these terms allows us to alter an agreed contract unfairly or removes rights provided to you by consumer law.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the original photographs, written descriptions, branding, graphics and other original content created for the FS Vintage Co. website belong to FS Vintage Co. and may not be copied, reproduced, republished or used commercially without our permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party names, trademarks and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

Any updated terms will apply to orders placed after the updated version takes effect. Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms applying to an order already placed unless permitted by law and agreed where required.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws applicable to FS Vintage Co. as a business based in England.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections provided by the laws applicable in your place of residence, where those protections apply.

Nothing in this section removes any right you may have to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.
