A beautiful and less frequently encountered Franklin Mint “Parian Style” Cat, from the later series of the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to approximately 1990.
This particularly elegant design features a softly modelled crouching cat finished in a wonderful matte powder-blue, embellished across its back with an intricate cascade of raised white flowers, leaves and foliage.
The combination of the blue ground and crisp white relief gives the piece a distinctly jasperware-inspired appearance, while the softly modelled form and matte finish create a wonderfully tactile little sculpture.
The cat is shown crouching low with its head lowered, tail curling around the body and delicately painted pale eyes giving it an especially characterful expression.
The piece bears the © TFM mark.
“Parian Style” is the Franklin Mint name for this design. It forms part of the later Curio Cabinet Cats series and is considerably less frequently encountered than many of the earlier designs.

In excellent vintage condition.
The figurine has been carefully inspected and no chips, cracks, repairs or significant losses have been identified.
Importantly, the delicate raised white floral and foliate decoration appears complete and intact, with no obvious losses identified. The ears, paws and curled tail also appear sound.
There may be very minor signs of previous handling or display commensurate with age, but nothing which detracts from the overall appearance.
