A beautiful and particularly collectible Franklin Mint “Pink Alabaster” Cat, from the sought-after Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating from the later series, circa 1990.
This wonderfully elegant miniature depicts a seated long-haired cat with a beautifully modelled ruff, alert pointed ears and an exceptionally full curled tail sweeping around its body.
Its most striking feature is undoubtedly the colour: a delicate, softly luminous blush pink, giving the figurine an almost rose-quartz-like appearance. Subtle variations in tone beautifully emphasise the sculpted fur and facial features.
The design is known within the Franklin Mint collection as “Pink Alabaster” and is one of the more difficult Curio Cabinet Cats to find. Documented collector-market sales also demonstrate notably stronger values for this design than for many of the more commonly encountered cats in the collection.
The underside bears the later Franklin Mint:

*Condition*
In excellent vintage condition.
The figurine has been carefully inspected and no chips, cracks, losses or repairs have been identified.
The vulnerable ear tips, paws and large curled tail all appear intact, and the beautiful pink surface presents exceptionally well.
There are some very minor signs of age and previous display to the flat underside, as would be expected of a vintage collectible.
Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition report and show the exact figurine you will receive.
