A wonderfully sleek vintage 24-karat gold-plated Art Deco cat from The Franklin Mint's celebrated Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to 1988.
This fabulous miniature cat has been designed in wonderfully stylised Art Deco form, standing elegantly on four long slender legs with an elongated body, angular face and long tail curling gently upwards at the tip.
The entire figure is finished in a beautiful reflective gold surface, giving this diminutive cat considerably more presence than its size might suggest!
Most importantly, original Franklin Mint advertising for the Curio Cabinet Cats collection specifically identifies the Art Deco cat as “24 karat gold-plated.”

In very good vintage condition overall, with the bright gold-plated finish presenting beautifully.
Some light surface marks/fine scratching and minor age-related wear to the gold finish, noticeable under close inspection and in reflected light. I can't see any obvious structural damage.
No breaks, losses or repairs have been identified.
