A wonderfully elegant vintage “Crystal Clear” cat from The Franklin Mint's Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating from the late 1980s.
Made entirely from clear glass, this charming miniature depicts a slender seated cat with pointed ears, delicately modelled facial features, front paws placed neatly together and its tail curled around the body.
The beautifully simple transparent glass construction catches and refracts the surrounding light, giving the little cat a surprisingly sculptural appearance despite its diminutive size.
This design is known as “Crystal Clear” and formed part of Franklin Mint's wonderfully varied Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, introduced in 1986.
The collection ultimately comprised 39 different cats inspired by an extraordinary variety of decorative styles, periods and materials.
A lovely addition to an existing Curio Cabinet Cats collection, or a beautiful little vintage glass cat in its own right.

In very good vintage condition overall.
No chips, cracks or repairs have been identified.
There may be minor surface marks or scratches commensurate with age and previous display.
A partial original foil label remains attached to the underside, although much of the label has worn away over time. This has deliberately been left in place.
As with all clear glass pieces, tiny manufacturing irregularities may be visible when examined closely.
No original presentation box or information card is included.
