A wonderfully pretty vintage Franklin Mint “Faience” Cat, from the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to 1988.
This charming little cat has a glossy white body decorated with delicate sprays of colourful flowers in vivid pink, blue, orange and green. Its beautifully painted green eyes, tiny brown nose and finely outlined features give it a particularly sweet expression.
The crouching pose is lovely too — slightly low to the ground with one front paw reaching forwards — and the floral decoration continues across the shoulders, body and even onto the top of the head.
Created as part of Franklin Mint's wonderfully varied Curio Cabinet Cats series, the Faience design takes its inspiration from traditional decorative faience ceramics.
The underside is clearly marked:

*Condition*
In very good vintage condition overall.
The glossy body and colourful floral decoration present beautifully, and I have not identified any obvious chips, cracks or repairs from careful inspection.
There may be very minor signs of age or handling consistent with a vintage collectible. The small brown details visible around the tips of the paws are part of the painted decoration rather than damage.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition report.
Please note-
This listing is for the Franklin Mint cat figurine only. The original presentation box, collector's leaflet/card, display cabinet and any other original packaging or paperwork are not included.
