A beautiful vintage Franklin Mint Egyptian Cat, from the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to 1988.
Inspired by the elegant feline sculptures of Ancient Egypt, this wonderfully stylised miniature cat is seated upright with elongated legs, pointed ears and a beautifully poised, statuesque form.
The cat is made from solid bronze, something confirmed by Franklin Mint's original advertising for the collection, which specifically described the Egyptian design as solid bronze.
Its rich dark bronze finish is complemented beautifully by turquoise-green detailing highlighting the ears, elaborate collar and Egyptian-inspired motif upon the chest.
The combination gives the piece the appearance of an ancient bronze sculpture with areas of verdigris patination and makes it one of the most distinctive designs in the collection.
The underside bears the ©1988 TFM mark.

In very good to excellent vintage condition.
The figurine appears complete and sound, with no breaks, repairs or significant losses identified. The ears, paws and tail are all intact.
