A beautiful and less frequently encountered Franklin Mint “Belleek Style” Cat, from the third series of the collectible Curio Cabinet Cats Collection, dating to approximately 1990.
This wonderfully characterful porcelain cat takes its inspiration from traditional Irish Belleek-style ceramics, with a creamy white glazed body, softly shaded fur, delicate pink ears and wonderfully expressive green eyes.
Perhaps its loveliest feature is the trail of hand-painted-style green shamrock decoration running across the body, giving this little cat an unmistakably Irish-inspired character.
The sculpting is particularly charming, depicting a fluffy long-haired cat seated with its substantial tail curled around behind.
The underside bears the © TFM mark.
